(by John Klein) THE 1976 NFL draft has been considered by many as the gold standard for players from Oklahoma.

That class produced two Oklahomans who reached the pinnacle of the game — Lee Roy Selmon of Eufaula and Steve Largent of Putnam City are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford is expected to be the first player taken in Thursday's NFL draft, the first of what many believe will be six players with state ties taken in the first round....read more from the Tulsa World
